Finally got a chance to come back. Was wanting to try the chicken. There are 3 plates to try. A full chicken, 1/2 chicken and the leg and thigh. I get the leg and thigh, however I think I got the half. The chicken is fantastic. It has a citrus type marinade and a good char from the pit. It was moist and not over done. I couldn't have wished for better. It comes with generous portions of Mexican Rice, Borracho beans, a baked onion and a ton of hot tortillas. The servings are very generous. I was so full I was able to share my chicken with my date. She loved it too. The service is quick.
Don't come expecting anything fancy, it is pretty basic inside and the menu is small. All the plates and utensils are either plastic or Styrofoam. Sodas are from a can. These things aren't an issue for me. This will probably be a regular place for me. -

This is a solid Asado joint, the chicken is flavorful, tender and authentic. The sides are generous and delicious (the beans are a little different but great). The outside seating is rustic so plan accordingly with the weather. We ordered the whole chicken special and were pleased with the cost vs. portions. I can highly recommend this establishment of you either:
a) Have never tried this type of food and want to give it a shot.
b) This place is close by and you feel like some delicious char-grilled
yard bird.
They offer an above average representation of this style of grilling and for that I am very happy to see it in this location.
PSA: For those in the know, the place on the East side (which I will not name here) is better...BUT...Pollos Asados El Gallo is much closer. Sometimes you need to scratch the Asado itch but don't feel like financing a trip to the other side of the world if you live north of 1604 and for that type of night out, this place is damn near perfect. -

Strongly recommend ordering takeout over dining in. There's AC but the smoke in the air doesn't clear out. They need better ventilation.
Their good is very good. Price to portion is about right. The staff is very courteous.
It's Hot during the summer so you either dine in and breathe in some smoke or order takeout. There's outdoor seating but it's too hot in the summer days.
Overall 3 stars. I'll definitely come back for more. But in the summer it's going to be takeout. -

Very great find with solid food at a very reasonable price. Patio is great for kids. Will be back.

I love pollos asados! The amount of food for $14.95 is just amazing. Full chicken, onion, jalapeño, 2 cups of beans, and 2 cups of rice- perfect for two people. We were in and out in 45 minutes before the noon lunch rush. The inside was a bit cold for me so we sat outside. Definitely a must try!
